This home boasts a harmonious fusion of elements that bring comfort, elegance, and functionality to every corner. The timeless beauty of American white oak is blended with the purity of crisp white walls and cabinetry, with matte black hardware creating a striking contrast that resonates throughout the space. Textural layers are thoughtfully woven into soft furnishings, while earthy tobacco and eucalyptus green tones infuse warmth and serenity, enriching the ambiance. A dedication to seamless indoor/outdoor living takes centre stage, with a keen focus on natural light and spaces primed for entertaining.
By demolishing a portion of the existing structure, we unveiled the potential for a new way of living. The sweeping, open-plan living space – south facing – is now gloriously illuminated by north facing double-height clerestory windows.
The kitchen boasts an oak fluted peninsula and v-groove cabinetry, embellished with delicate oak detailing and a family-friendly crisp white engineered stone with subtle black veining which is used for the generous work surface and full-length splashback. Abundant storage solutions, from the capacious corner pantry tailored for the keen entertainer, to the practical breakfast cupboard catering to everyday needs, provide both form and function. An American oak veneer bar area, ideally located for memorable gatherings, is teamed with a bespoke neon artwork which casts a gentle, evocative glow.
Orli Interior’s transformative touch extended to every nook and cranny in this project, providing a new en suite, inviting master bedroom, playful children’s room, and a family TV room that breathes comfort. Navigating the challenge of space, we included a walk-in robe and custom storage cupboards catering to the family’s everyday storage needs. Outdoor living spaces were designed with relaxation in mind, with different spaces providing both sun and shade throughout the day.

In this remarkable project the allure of superwhite dolomite stone transformed a mere kitchen benchtop into the cornerstone of a design direction that resonates throughout the entire apartment. The sense of tranquility unfurls through a palette of smoky grey-blue, entwined with elegant pale timber flooring and doors. Brushed gold taps and hardware, alongside artfully placed tiles in terrazzo, marble, and kitkat formations, complete a canvas that redefines luxury.
Guided by the vision to infuse contemporary grandeur into a beachside setting, our mission was clear: breathe new life into a tired apartment with refined selections to bring about a sense of mature sophistication. The metamorphosis began with the very foundation—the transformational superwhite dolomite stone that set the tone for every design choice.
The transformation started at floor level: the dark and glossy brushbox floor was treated to a thorough sanding and bleaching, transforming the once dim apartment space into a luminous panorama that dances with light and spaciousness.
In the heart of the home – the kitchen – form and function work in harmony to offer a culinary haven that embodies sophistication. The curved stone peninsula and fluted fascia create that all important wow factor, and marry perfectly with hand made clay pendant lights. The boiler cupboard underwent a remarkable transformation, emerging as a stylish pantry-bar that merges practicality with aesthetics.
Weaving a consistent aesthetic throughout the dwelling, softest blue cabinetry with elegant, fluted detailing and meticulously chosen tiles define the new laundry, bathroom, and en suite. The walk-in wardrobe features custom pale timber-look joinery, a finish repeated in the internal cabinetry in the kitchen and pantry.

Family living is redefined in this beautiful renovation. The rear canvas of the home was completely transformed, making way for an expansive open-plan space that marries the kitchen, living, and dining areas. A magnificent cathedral ceiling crowned with gable windows graces this space, bringing in both natural light and views of the newly landscaped garden and a fully tiled pool and spa. The outcome is a seamless interplay between indoor and outdoor, a sanctuary of light and connection.
The master suite, thoughtfully designed, extends to a spacious walk-in wardrobe and a cosy en suite featuring hand-applied micro-cement walls with display niches. The children’s domain has a shared bathroom boasting a double vanity and a walk-in shower. A dedicated media and play space caters to all their needs.
In the garden a captivating cabana beckons, promising tranquil moments by the poolside. It’s an ode to relaxation, an oasis where afternoons blend seamlessly into evenings.
Our role began as curators of vision, working alongside the client to refine the initial floor plans. This collaboration enhanced the architectural plans, ensuring space for art displays, storage, and the pièce de résistance—an awe-inspiring cathedral ceiling. This architectural marvel became the focal point, a show-stopping testament to the home’s renewal.
Orli Interiors orchestrated a schedule of colours, textures, and finishes to reflect the clients’ personality and create a home unique to their family. Soft terracotta hues and serene pale sage green tones are woven together, underpinned by the warmth of natural timber and brushed gold hardware. A captivating blend of blush, terracotta, timber, and pristine white hues breathe new life into this home. The aspiration was clear: to infuse style and character, to create an embrace of warmth and welcome, all while enhancing storage and showcasing space.
The heart of this transformation resides in the meticulously crafted media wall and fireplace, where practicality and comfort embrace aesthetics. A mudroom bench and a family room media unit stand are the perfect complement, each designed with finishes that resonate simplicity and elegance. Veined stone, white v-groove cabinetry, timber veneer benches and shelves, and the gentle touch of soft leather recessed handles converge to create a tactile and visual journey.
While paramount attention was given to storage and functionality, this bespoke joinery solution was more than just storage; it was a canvas for colour, an avenue for personality, and an opportunity for styling that amplifies the overarching scheme.
Throughout the entry, living room and family media room new soft furnishings, curated decor, and captivating artworks breathe life, capturing the essence of the home’s rejuvenation. A thoughtfully chosen print above the mudroom bench brings cohesion, bridging spaces with a splash of colour that unites the narrative.
A colour consultation brought a consistent look and finish to exterior features such as timber cladding, roofing, balustrades, and balcony doors, ensuring that every facet of the home resonated with the renewed elegance within.

Spaces adapting to dreams and needs…
What emerged from the initial spark of a playroom revamp evolved into an all-encompassing home transformation that echoed through almost every corner of the house.
The catalyst was a desire for change, rooted in the need to tame the chaos of a play space shared by two energetic daughters! The vision embraced enhanced storage, an artful display, and a seamless fusion of functionality and aesthetics. Beyond this, the aspiration extended to crafting a kiddy haven which could double up as a space where friends could gather for movie nights during family gatherings.
A soft and sensory palette in hues of soft pinks and creams is woven with the tactile charm of tan leather, the comfort of bouclé, the warmth of timber, and the inviting embrace of rattan elements.
Time constraints and a sense of frustration with outdated furnishings in the rest of the house propelled the client to further entrust Orli with a broader mission. Soon, the hallway, study, and dining/living room were added to the project. A cohesive selection of new furniture and artworks were chosen, with practical storage solutions breathing life into spaces that craved order. The living room was reimagined with new furniture to expand the sense of space and nurture a conversational atmosphere to welcome guests.
The evolution of this project speaks not just to a physical transformation, but to a metamorphosis of lifestyle. It’s a story of design harmonizing with purpose, of spaces adapting to dreams and needs.
